Universites of Sanctuary Information session in Co. Meath

This week, Universities of Sanctuary had the privilege of joining the Local Authority Integration Team at the Ashbourne Court Hotel in County Meath, where we introduced the Universities of Sanctuary initiative to a group of newly arrived asylum seekers and refugees in Ireland.

The session provided an important first step in helping individuals begin to understand and navigate Ireland’s education system—highlighting the opportunities available for those seeking to rebuild their lives through learning and access to higher education.

A heartfelt thank you to Paul O’Sullivan and Celina LoobyIntegration Support Coordinators from the Community Department at Meath County Council, for their warm welcome and for the remarkable work they continue to do in supporting people seeking refuge and protection in Ireland.

We are proud to work together to promote education as a pathway to empowerment, inclusion, and hope.
